CommunityThe little hamlet of Lilliesleaf is a thriving community with a variety of 'local haunts' and clubs ensuring there is always lots to do for all ages. Click any of the links below to find out more:
Keep FitA Keep Fit class runs in the village hall every Tuesday evening from 7:30 - 8:30pm. Cost is £@CHECK per session. Lilliesleaf Drama Club'The Leaf Dramr's are an eclectic group of locals (ages ranging from 10 to 70!). Each Christmas, they write, produce and perform a 'locally themed' pantomime in the Village Hall. Every January they host a Burns Supper. For more information see http://www.leafdramers.org. Lilliesleaf Sports ClubThis is a small club run by local volunteers in and around Lilliesleaf. The club hosts various social fund-raising events throughout the year to fund the annual Childrens Christmas party and Village Sports Day. Events range from Quiz nights through to Sponsored walks. The club also runs a football club for primary school children. This takes place throughout the year on one evening per week. Adults Football Both men and women are cordially invited along to this fun group who 'train' once a week in the summer months along at the Lilliesleaf Sports Field. Lilliesleaf Football club is open to all children from p1 to p7.
Lilliesleaf Under 5'sLilies Under 5s meet in the village hall every Friday during term time. The hall is open from 9am - 11.30am. We don't have a rota, instead we all just turn up and muck in! Lots of toys and activities. Cost £1.50 per session which includes a drink and snack and plenty of tea and coffee! Well behaved adults welcome when accompanied by a child aged 5 or under! Riddle FiddlersThis enthusiast group of fiddlers meet every @CHECK. Group always keen for new members (both beginners and experienced players!) Scottish Country Dance Club@CHECK they still exist Thursday ClubOn the first Thursday of every month this group arrange to meet at various venues for a light supper, a chat and a small talk from a guest speaker.
YogaYoga is run in the neighbouring village of Midlem every Monday evening @CHECK. Public HousesThere are two public houses in Lilliesleaf, The Cross Keys and The Plough. Both have a bar and lounge and The Plough provides evening meals each evening. Jammy Coo Gallery & Coffee ShopThe Jammy Coo offers all residents and visitors alike a delightful environment in which to come and enjoy some lovey home-made cooking whilst browsing the ever changing gallery and other gift items. Lilliesleaf Village HallThe Village Hall, also known as the Currie Hall, sits in the heart of Lilliesleaf village. It hosts numerous events throughout the year ranging from coffee mornings through to shows, concerts and parties. It is available for private hire and is one of many potential 'meeting' places for the community.
